Paloma Morphy Boston reviews
Jonny Lang & Buddy Guy
Jonny Lang's performance featured some impressive vocals, however, it was disappointing that his set lasted for 1 1/2 hours. This limited the time available for Paloma Morphy to showcase her talent. Although Paloma Morphy's performance was exceptional, it was cut short. He seemed to not follow songs through to completion, instead turning them into melodic versions. The songs were good, but the audience expected more. I have always believed that live performances should offer a unique experience at each venue. However, upon hearing his latest CD "Live at Legends," I realized that his live show closely mirrored the album. The similarities were so pronounced that his comments during the performance matched those on the CD. If you had listened to the CD before attending the show, you may have been disappointed by the lack of new elements. Despite this, I would still be eager to see him perform again.
